Is there a minimum order quantity?

At Batouwe Nurseries, a minimum order quantity only applies to the P9 product category. There is no minimum order for whips and shrubs - these can be ordered per single piece.

For P9 and C1, the minimum order quantity depends whether they are grown in trays or not.

Some P9 or C1 plants are supplied in individual pots - this is then clearly marked as "single P9 or C1" and can be ordered per single piece.

Most plants in this product category however, are supplied in trays containing 8, 18 or 28 plants. You then order per tray, i.e. per 8, 18 or 28 plants. This is automatically applied in your shopping basket, depending on tray size.

What is and what is not included in our prices and which delivery conditions apply?

  • All prices are ex nursery (Dodewaard). Upon request, we will organise transport. Please mention this as a comment when completing your order and we will contact you.
  • Prices include license fees.
  • Prices do not include delivery of photo labels. Would you like to receive photo labels anyway? Please mention this as a comment when completing your order, and we will check availability of the requested label.

What if I don’t know the exact delivery week yet?

Please fill in the estimated delivery week. We will always contact you at least a week in advance to agree on the final delivery week and/or day.

Until when does Batouwe deliver?

Unless agreed otherwise, plants purchased for spring delivery must be taken as follows: whips/bare roots 31st of March latest; P9 & other container plants 31st of May latest.

When should I plant a whip or young tree?

The best result you will get, is when it is planted between the end of August and mid-October, when the soil is still warm and roots are still active. In other words; before it stops growing. However, there are varieties that we recommend to be planted in March due to sensitivity to frost.

Why does Batouwe use slotted pots and the Airpot-U system?

We use them to get the best possible rooting system. As a result, you don’t have roots circling the pot, but a more natural root growth. We believe that a good rooting system forms the basis of the future plant.
